Bird Herder - Santa Cruz, CA.
After explaining that he ran a boarding house for several Gay male students from UCSC, he stated,
"it's obvious you are aware that I am Gay, is that a problem for you?"
I replied "yes, I am aware you are gay, but I am NOT, and so long as you and your borders accept that & do nothing to try to change it, I have no problem with you or your gayness."
We shook hands and agreed I would start work the following Monday.
I arrived at the "Ranch" on Monday Morning, was shown to my room in the basement, introduced to a few of the boarders,
and shown what was required of me. Feeding, watering all the birds in their various pen areas.
Cleaning the coops and pens. Turning some of the birds out for the day, to be re-penned in the evening.
Watering and weeding the very large vegetable garden we had. Some of the best vegetables I ever tasted and an extremely prolific garden.
Within a few days of my arrival, one of the gay student boarders took a liking to me. :-(
He would make subtley suggestive remarks as I passed by, occasionally making it possible for his hand to brush my arm, shoulder, hip and even my BUTT on a few occasions.
I told him repeatedly to NOT TOUCH ME!
He ignored me and continued!
I finally grabbed his arm, twisted it behind him & showed him the 32 ounce carpenters hammer I had in my hand & informed him it would be buried in his skull the next time he touched me!
Guess he did not take me seriously, cause the very next day he made it a point to stick both his hands in my hip pockets and squeeze!
I spun around, kicked him in the groin & stomped on both his hands as he lay on the ground groping his crotch and moaning.
I went to Eugene and told him I was leaving because of the continued harrassment by "Mary".
(I HAD told him of previous advances & confrontations, and he had said he would talk to "Mary" about it & see it stopped.
Obviously, Mary paid as little attention to him as he had to me!
2 days later, I was on the road again & looking for another job.
